Radio/Podcast

I’m an avid listener. More than watching videos, audio content has fed my faith for decades. I’ve been a guest on a variety of Catholic radio stations and podcasts.

Have a show? I’d be honored to join in your conversation, talking about the Bible, liturgy, family life, prayer, and more.

Favorite Interviews

During 2023, I enjoyed being a guest on the Living the Word Women’s Bible Podcast with Sarah Christmyer and became a regular listener of this delightful, conversational podcast that feels like coffee with friends, and probes some of our deepest questions of faith.

Episode Guide. In “Why Read Paul’s Letters?” I share my teen/young adult conversion story, in “How to Read the Bible with (Actual) Children” I tell how our family stumbled into reading the Bible together, and as we started Year B of the Sunday Mass Lectionary, Sarah and I shared our favorite part’s of the Gospel of Mark, which is the very first book we read, day-by-day in Simply Scripture.

I love the joy and energy present anytime I get to converse with Emily Mentock and Fr. Patrick Gonyeau of the Archdiocese of Detroit’s Open Door Podcast. In this summer 2021 episode I shared how reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church, for the first time, as a young adult led me to stop “waiting in the hall” of Christianity (as C.S. Lewis described it) and fully embrace a belief in the Church.

New for 2024

While this is a page dedicated to audio/radio/podcasts, Catholic media is always evolving and in 2024 Mater Dei Radio launched a new one-minute, weekly series with me called Word of the Week, you can find it as a video on their free, Hail Mary Media app and listen along as we do a quick dive into one word in one minute from each Sunday’s Mass readings.

Word of the Week

“The word of God is living and effective” (Heb 4:12) and even a single word can be packed with meaning from the ancient world and our Catholic faith. Join me each week as we spend one minute with one word from the Sunday Mass readings and apply God’s Word to our lives today.
